Get Relief From Knee Pain

We are London's Most Trusted Knee Pain Specialists

Validus Sports Injury Clinic caters for the needs of a wide variety of patients suffering from various musculoskeletal conditions including knee pain.

The knee joint is one of the most commonly injured sites on the human body. It absorbs so many loads and takes a lot of stress on a daily basis as a direct result of exercise and every day activities.

When walking your knee supports 1.5 times your body weight, climbing stairs increases to around 3 times our body weight and squatting can be up to 8 times our body weight, so its no surprise of the high level of knee pain and issues we see in clinic.

There are many reasons you can experience knee pain, and a variety of conditions and injuries that can cause this. It can simply be caused over-use or imbalances, which can result in your knee performing or functioning inefficiently, ligament sprains or tears such as an ACL rupture or meniscus tear, or conditions such patella femoral pain
syndrome (runners knee), ITB syndrome, tendonitis or more degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis.

Stengthen, strengthen, strengthen

Strengthening is absolutely crucial for knee related pain, and is something that can have a huge impact on the quality of someone life. We place a huge emphasis on bespoke strengthening that is specific to you and your lifestyle or sport. When the muscles around your knee become stronger, they are better able to stabilise the joint
and absorb shock during weight-bearing activities, such as standing, walking, climbing stair and running. A stable, supported joint will undergo less friction and wear-and-tea, which will lead to a decrease in pain.
